WonderKeep®, an Oxygen Absorber
WonderKeep® is used widely for keeping food fresh and preventing discoloration, keeping insects away from stored clothing, etc., and stopping metal products from rusting by extracting the oxygen from the interior of a sealed package, reducing the oxygen content to close to zero (0.1% or less).

WonderSensor®, an Oxygen Sensor
WonderSensor® is used to indicate if oxygen is present in the ambient air inside the food package.
With WonderKeep® and WonderSensor® in the same container, it is possible to detect the presence of oxygen in the container by a change of color.
The color will be blue for oxygenic conditions (oxygen above 0.5%) and pink for anoxic conditions (oxygen below 0.1%).
How to Use WonderSensor®
Use WonderSensor® to check for a defective package: Place WonderSensor® and WonderKeep® together inside the package to check that there are no pinholes or if the package has sufficient barrier performance against oxygen permeation.
Type/Special Features | Type | Color changes at 25 °C | Exposure time | Aw | Applications | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
With holes | Regular type | Turns blue in 5–10 minutes and pink in 2–5 hours in less than 0.1% oxygen | Within 4 hours | 0.60~0.90 | Dried fruit | |
No holes | Water/oil resistant type | Turns blue in 20–30 minutes and pink in 2–5 hours in less than 0.1% oxygen | Within 4 hours | Aw > 0.20 | Pasta, peanuts |
